about me

I'm a junior, full stack web developer based in the greater Nashville area. After teaching preschool for four years, I began searching for an opportunity to learn something new. When our daughter came home from S.T.E.M. camp with a game she had built in Scratch, she introduced me to coding. I love being creative, problem solving and being challenged in my work. With so much opportunity for growth, continuous learning, and creativity through design, learning software development was the perfect solution. I am excited to begin my professional career as a software developer.

MVC Group Project

This application is a multi-user web application built utilizing ASP.NET Core MVC; it allows users to write posts and share them with other users, comment on these posts in order to discuss them with fellow users. Tabloid MVC has two types of users: Authors can create Posts, manage their own Posts, and read and comment on other authors' posts. Admins can do all the things authors can do, but are also in charge of managing all the data in the system.

Our Group was tasked with creating a social media app using the criteria listed below and under the issues tab.
Concepts covered in this project include React, JSX, JavaScript, CSS, session storage, creating a JSON database, posting/editing/deleting the data in the database with forms and event listeners on the DOM, and associating that data with a userID.
